Cat and Ross’ The Heron Byre Wedding Film

Cat and Ross had the most fun, laid-back celebration that definitely felt very them. It was also our first time shooting a wedding video at The Heron Byre, a gorgeous new (well, new to us anyway!) venue tucked away in the South Lanarkshire countryside near Strathaven and located in the grounds of Angus and Emma’s family farm. Its natural charm, open space, and cozy atmosphere was the perfect place to throw their wedding bash!

The day kicked off with Cat getting ready at home, surrounded by her closest friends and was the picture of nervous calmness. The morning was filled with laughter, hugs, and a lot of “aaaargh, you’re getting married!” When it was time to go she looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress - hair and makeup styled to perfection. Elegant and fun, just like her.

Over on Ross’s side, there was a mix of nerves and jokes (mostly nerves) flying around as he got ready. Dressed to impress, and after a few laughs (and maybe a cheeky drink or two) he was ready for the big moment.

Cat arrived fashionably late and was walked down the aisle by Kenny, her wonderful dad. The ceremony took place in Heron Byre’s beautiful indoor space, surrounded by the people they loved. Heartfelt, emotional, funny and totally them.

The reception kicked off, we dodged the rain (mostly!), the tables were set with rustic, country-style décor that matched the laid-back vibe of the venue, and the farmhouse sharing food was absolutely spot on. There were touching speeches that had everyone laughing one minute and dabbing their eyes the next and as soon as the music started, it was all about that dance floor.

It was everything a wedding should be: full of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Thanks for having us there to film it for you.
